Time flies when you are...

sleep deprived. Yeah, the saying is having fun and yeah, we do have fun, but more than that, we have sleep deprivation right now. It has been a bit since I posted last. Not sure what happened, but here I am again.

Logan had a good 2 month check up last Tuesday. Little guy came in at 12 lbs 8 oz and 24 inches. He was 9 lbs 6 oz and 20 1/2 inches at 3 1/2 weeks so he has definitely grown. I said something to his doctor about colic and the doctor laughed. He said he disagreed since Logan went from being in the 50 percentile at his last visit to 75 percentile this time. Logan had his first shots and did not like them at all. He scrunched up his face so hard that it turned beet red except for between his eyes where it turned white. Let out the loudest screams and cries I have heard out of a baby! We go back in 2 months again.

Things have been going well otherwise. He is becoming so alert and interacts with everyone. I watched him batting at a toy on the bouncy seat the other day. He has the cutest smile that he loves to share and is starting to try and "talk". He is still eating like crazy. I have had no luck in getting him to take a bigger bottle which would in turn mean going longer between feedings and possilbly more sleep for mommy. He is eating something like every 3 hours or so...sometimes it is 2 1/2 hours! I so look forward to when he starts sleeping longer at night and does not need to be held so long to get to sleep initially.

We toured a preschool for Morgan last week. There is a wait list of one other child for the class she would be in so I will get her paperwork in with the hopes that they will add two more slots once school starts. It is a Montessori school about 10 minutes from the house that uses a Christian curriculum. She does not have to be potty trained, which is a bonus for us as while she will go occasionally on the potty, we are no where near her being trained. I think that being around other kids who are would help.

Not much else going on. Had a low key Father's Day with Troy. He is back to traveling a lot...North Carolina last week, Atlanta this week. Morgan had her purses and was off to Atlanta yesterday afternoon to see her daddy. She definitely is developing a great imagination to go along with her constantly expanding vocabulary. Very cute.

Have to comment quickly on Tim Russert's passing and his son. I saw an interview with his son yesterday morning on the Today Show and if my children can grow up to be even half as well spoken and, just in general, a seemingly great kid, then I will be happy. I was very impressed with what he had to say, how he said it and how he handled the interview in what is undoubtly a very difficult time. While I will admit to fast forwarding often thru that part of the Nightly News, it was sad to hear that Tim Russert had passed away.
