It is finally Fall

After an almost endless summer, it has finally cooled off a bit in Florida. Hopefully it does not get as hot and humid as it has been again until some time next year. We took the kids to a pumpkin "patch" at a local church today so they could pick out pumpkins. Not quite the same as what you would find up north, but they had fun just the same. We decided to forego Hunsader's this year as the cost keeps climbing every year we go there. :)

Pictures are a bit out of order, but I can't seem to get them to move.

Is it fall yet?

I am so ready for the weather to cool off, but that will not happen anytime soon. We manage to stay busy. It would be nice though to be able to let the kids play outside without the heat and humidity. Oh well, at least we do not have to worry about snow and ice.

We keep chugging along. Morgan is still enjoying school and dance class. I found out today that she is learning the Pledge of Allegiance in school. Made my heart happy it was so stinkin' cute. They have started to learn their routine for the winter show in her dance class and that was cute to watch.

Logan is all boy...who loves to play with his sister's princess stuff. I would have to say his favorite things right now are trucks. Any truck. We are often on the interstate when out and about plus there is road construction going out to Morgan's school so he is a happy boy sitting in this seat saying "truck" over and over. His words are slowly but surely coming and he really does understand what we are saying and asking him to do.

This weekend we will road trip to Atlanta for Troy's dad's funeral and one of the boy's birthday. Should be interesting to see how the kids do in the car. The next weekend, Morgan, Janet, Macy and I head to DC. We all will be glad for the cooler temperatures there.

Football has started and the kids geared up.

Hello, hello...anyone here??

Okay, so it has been forever since I have updated my blog. I suppose what really matters is that I am here doing it now while at least one of the kiddos is asleep. (I know Morgan is still awake as I was sleeping next to her when she woke me up to tell me the phone was ringing. ) We have had a busy summer and I could go on about all we have done, but that would take too long as well as posting gobs of cute pictures would too. So instead, I will just let the world know that we have had a busy summer. Seems like we are always on the go...some of that being on the go included heading to the beach, several trips to Mote Marine, playgroups, story time at the library and such. Troy and Morgan went to Atlanta for the weekend in July. Morgan and I are heading to DC with Janet and Macy in September. Other than that, we have not done any traveling this summer. Maybe some time in the fall we will take a family trip.

The kids continue to grow like crazy. Morgan started dance class at the beginning of August and loves it. She starts back to preschool next Monday and will be attending three mornings a week this year. Logan is walking, running and climbing all over the place. He does what ever he has to do to keep up with his sister. He finally got his fifth tooth after having four for about 7 months.

Here are a few pictures from the past few months. Enjoy and I am really going to try and keep up with my blog better. I promise!!

Life goes on

Whew, a lot has happened in the last two months since my last post. Most of you know that my Mom passed away two weeks ago. She had been battling cancer for several years. We knew that she did not have a lot of time left, but her somewhat rapid decline still came as a shock. We are beginning the adjustment and she will be missed.

A week or so before Mom passed away, her older brother, Allan, passed away too. His was a quick decline as well. We have gotten to see a lot of family in the past few weeks although it has not always been under the best circumstances. Our last family get together was a happy one though as Mary and Eric got married last Saturday on the beach. It was a great wedding even though there was a stomach bug making it's way thru the family. Morgan was absolute doll and I will try to get pictures up soon.

My little boy turned one a week ago. I can not believe it has been a year! He is walking like an expert and doing well keeping up with his sister. I really have to keep an eye on him when we are out and about now since he is so quick on his feet.

That is about it for now. I am working on getting stuff done at Mom's house. Even though she had moved about a year ago, there is still lots of stuff to go thru. No pictures this post...will try next time and will try not to be gone so long. :)

Yeah, we are still here...

just busy, busy, busy. In a nutshell, in the past two weeks, we went to Disney for Troy's birthday, celebrated said birthday at home as well, went strawberry picking, had Ethan over for a few days, Morgan got a new scooter, Logan got two new teeth and has really started moving around with his push toys. My mom had some health scares and is doing better. She will be in rehab for a few weeks and then figure out what to do from there. We have plenty of stuff coming up, of course. I promise to try and get on here more often...maybe then I will not have so many pictures to try and put on in one post. :)

This is what happens when you think a 3 yr old is napping in her room...she dresses herself.

One of the many faces of Morgan.

Morgan loved her "googly" ears.

And Logan seems please with his Pooh bear.

Morgan got her face painted and did so well sitting still.

First time on Dumbo.
Both kids got their first ears. Morgan's have Tinkerbell on them plus her name.
Logan got the classic ears.

Guess his first trip to Disney was too much for him.

Frosting the cake she helped make for Troy.

Just a quick update

So February is here and we are busy as ever. I can not believe it is the middle of the month already. Last weekend saw my sister and her family in town for the weekend and Mary's shower. This weekend we will be taking a quick trip to Disney for Troy's birthday. Logan is on another round of antibiotics for his ears and Morgan seems to have allergies that are flaring up. Busy, busy, busy as ever. Here are a few pictures with more to come after Disney.

Ready for January to end and February to come

I am so ready for January to be over. The kids have not had the best week between Morgan, her knee and her lingering cold symptons. I took Logan to the doctor today and he has another ear infection. That makes 4 since November. We saw a different doctor today and she will refer us to a pediatric ENT next week to see about tubes. I am optimistic about this as I think it will get his ears clear and get him off antibiotics. To top it all off, I found water under my kitchen sink this evening... supposed to stay in the sink, not under it. We have been having pressure issues with the faucet so who knows what it is.

The kids and I met some friends at Chuck E Cheese yesterday. It is a rare thing for us to go there. This was Logan's first time and he had fun riding some of the riding "games". Morgan just had fun in general. The pictures below are pretty self explanatory. I will say that I love Logan's expression in the first picture. Oh yeah, the Jeep is gone, gone, gone. Wahoo! Troy brought home a Dodge Avenger this evening. Will get some pictures soon.
